- At least 1 year of experience working with the pediatric population
Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, has experience working with the pediatric population, and is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Carry out therapy interventions designed by the OT.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of the patient.
- Help clients practice self-care, mobility, and work-related tasks.
- Provide hands-on support during therapeutic exercises or activities.
- Record patient performance and responses to therapy.
- Report observations and suggest adjustments to the supervising OT.
- Teach patients and families how to continue therapy at home.
- Provide training on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Ensure therapy sessions are safe, comfortable, and effective.
- Follow infection control, safety, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
